Hikvision presents new models of its DeepinView series

Security

Hikvision, a provider of IoT solutions with video as its core competency, has announced a brand new addition to its DeepinView camera series: the ‘Dedicated Subseries’

These new models represent a completely new one complement, as it combines a number of AI-supported deep learning algorithms in each device and is characterised by performance and low prices.

Advanced artificial intelligence

The new specialised DeepinView cameras combine several AI-supported deep learning algorithms in one device. In addition, the algorithms can be switched so that you can have up to six specialised cameras in one housing.

“The integration of switchable algorithms is an important step that Hikvision has taken in the development of its AI products. In a world of constantly changing technology and functionality, this approach creates significant added value for end-users trying out new technologies to ensure security and implement business intelligence and other applications,” said Frank Zhang, president of the international product and solutions centre at Hikvision.

Switchable algorithms

The new DeepinView cameras combine two product categories: the first is vehicle analysis, in which the cameras combine automatic license plate recognition (ANPR) with the recognition of vehicle attributes. The attributes include the vehicle’s make, colour and direction of movement. Typical applications include installation at checkpoints on urban streets and at entrances and exits to buildings or industrial parks.

The other models have six switchable deep learning algorithms in one camera housing, such as face recognition, face counting, protective helmet recognition, perimeter protection, queue management and recognition of multiple target types (simultaneous recognition of multiple targets and multiple types of targets). Accordingly, users can simply manually activate an algorithm for the respective special purpose and switch the algorithm later if necessary.

The flexibility in the algorithms allows users to switch between the following functions:

Perimeter protection - for monitoring external areas in need of protection and precise triggering of alarms in the event of an intrusion.

Facial recognition - allows authorised access to restricted areas in various facilities, such as B. School laboratories, archive rooms and hospital pharmacies.

Queue management - for better recording of customer waiting times, optimisation of the necessary staff and improvement of the customer experience.

High definition clarity day and night

The cameras, which are equipped with Hikvision’s DarkFighter and LightFighter technology, capture vivid and coloured images, even in extremely low-light environments or in scenarios with strong backlighting, where colour and brightness comparison is extremely difficult. The smooth streaming mode also ensures high-quality live transmission.

The new DeepinView cameras are available in resolutions of two, four, eight and 12 MPx, so customers can choose from a wide range of cameras.

Other practical and practical functions

In addition, metadata is provided to enable third-party platforms to receive or record data from Hikvision cameras for real-time video analysis to enable a quick search for forensic evidence.

These camera models also offer vibration detection for outdoor use, which detects vandalism and notifies the user.
