Larson Electronics releases explosion proof AC LED portable light

Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company for the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, has released a portable explosion proof LED light featuring AC LEDs paired with specially designed heat sinks for improved efficiency

This light is rated for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations and offers a 110˚ flood beam. This 60-watt unit provides several voltage options, including 120V AC and 208V AC.

The EPLX-PM-60W-RD2-LED-TRC-100 explosion proof 60-watt AC LED portable light utilises AC LEDs paired with a heavy-duty housing and an advanced heat sink that offers improved efficiency and thermal performance.

The company stated that this unit is ideal for use in applications where there ambient operating temperature falls into extreme ranges, such as in high heat applications. This unit can withstand harsh and corrosive environments and features an IP68 rating to protect against dust, dirt and humidity.

Larson Electronics’ portable explosion proof LED light is mounted on an A-frame style non-sparking aluminium base with a carrying handle built into the top of the stand. The lamp can be adjusted up or down 90˚ and locked into position.

This unit comes with 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord fitted with an explosion-proof cord cap. This unit can be operated on 120V AC, 208V AC, 220V AC or 240V AC and is suitable for use in refineries, marinas, warehouses, and more.
