Khidmah's fire drill assesses readiness of emergency response and first aid teams

Abu Dhabi based property and facility management company Khidmah LLC have conducted fire drill exercises to assess the readiness of efficiency of emergency response and first aid team

Khidmah LLC have conducted fire dill exercises to asses the readiness of efficiency of emergency response and first aid team, under the directive and guidance of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense General Directorate. 

The successful mock drill included extinguishing a major fire and evacuating commercial and residential tenants at Sun and Sky Towers in Reem Island. 

The drill was designed to assess the readiness and capabilities of Khidmah's own emergency response and first aid team, with the support the the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense. The drill also served as a test for Khidmah's Property and Facility Management teams compliance in meeting the technical safety standards and requirements of UAE life and Fire Safety Regulations. 

Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Operations commented, “The drill falls in line with the efforts of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Directorate’s plans to ensure the efficiency of internal contingency plans, in dealing with the various disaster scenarios which require fast intervention. It also aims to enhance response time during firefighting operations, to safeguard and protect life and property of occupants in properties managed by Khidmah.

Mr. Abdullah Al Qamzi Managing Director of Khidmah LLC, said: “This drill is part of the company’s strategy, which stipulates the need to constantly review the safe and reliable functioning condition of the security and emergency public safety tools and equipment, and to examine the technical details pertaining to the rescue operations during fire accidents. This strategy would allow us to adopt the best means and methods to handle such fire risks and help to enhance the readiness of Khidmah managed and maintained properties in dealing with emergencies and crises to guarantee everyone’s safety. Khidmah is planning more preparatory drills for its vertical and horizontal communities in coming months”.
