PPE

Japan’s TOWA Corporation, manufacturer of industrial and household gloves, launched its new coating technology, NanoFinish, at the Safety & Health Expo which took place from 16-18 May at London’s ExCel

The micro-porous inside coating provides better friction and unrivalled grip on dry applications, while also providing flexibility.

Speaking to Health, Safety & Security Review Middle East, Pierre-Yves Brouillet, global sales department manager explained that the coating is currently available on general purpose gloves, but the company is working on extending it to other products such as cut resistant, thermal resistant and chemical resistant gloves in the future.

TOWA Corporation continues to develop new products and technologies. The company also showcased gloves with its MicroFinish coating technology, a unique glove surfacing process designed to create a maximum bond, with minimum effort, under a wide variety of wet and oily conditions.

The company does not currently have distribution in the Middle East but has received interest from the region and is investigating opportunities there, Brouillet added.
