Unique and KBAT to provide H&S and diving courses

Unique Group has combined with KBA Training Centre (KBAT) to provide a series of training courses

The subsea and offshore turnkey solution specialists announced the agreement with Singapore-based KBAT this week, under which, the two firms will collaborate to put on courses in health, safety and diving in the UAE.

“The aim of the alliance is not only to promote safety awareness of various stakeholders but to offer quality training solutions to our Middle East clientele,” said KBAT managing director Darren Brunton. “We believe Unique Group’s on-the-ground expertise and knowledge will give us better insights of the local market and together we can better refine our range of courses to both the onshore and offshore industries.”

The courses on offer will be accredited by various international bodies, and will include the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) in Occupational Health & Safety (30 August-10 September 2015); NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil & Gas Operational Safety (12-17 September 2015); IOSH Accident Investigation (5-6 September 2015); IMCA Trainee AIR Diving Supervisors (18-22 October 2015) and Diver Medic Technician (4-13 October 2015).

Unique’s UAE general managaer Ian Huggins said, “We are extremely delighted to be partnering with KBA Training Centre to offer some of their top courses targeting the health and safety sectors of the oil and gas and diving industries.”
