SIRA certifies Milestone XProtect products

Milestone Systems has received the security equipment approval from the Security Industry Regulatory Agency (SIRA) of Dubai

SIRA is a government body regulating the security industry in Dubai, protecting the community using preventive security systems and precautionary measures.

The Milestone XProtect Corporate, XProtect Expert and XProtect Professional+ video management software (VMS) are the first major VMS’ approved from SIRA.

Based on a true open platform, Milestone XProtect shows its endless integration possibilities and strengths to embed third-party applications and business systems through the Milestone Integration Platform (MIP). The Milestone Husky X8, a high performing network video recorder, has also been certified by SIRA.

This seal of approval is critical, as it helps customers identify solutions which live up to the UAE authorities’ requirements and the standards defined by SIRA.

Milestone XProtect Corporate software obtains GDPR-ready certification.

The company stated that Milestone reached another major certification in the EU. XProtect Corporate 2019 R2 is the first major video management software product to obtain the highly sought-after EuroPriSe (European Privacy Seal) GDPR-ready certification.

With the GDPR-ready certification from the independent and recognized institute EuroPriSe, end-users can be confident that they have the right foundation to build a GDPR compliant video surveillance installation.
