Pegasus and Dubai Police sign MoU to improve safety and security by using big data

Pegasus, a DarkMatter company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Police to improve safety and security by providing the police with advanced analytic capabilities in solving and preventing crime 

DarkMatter, the international cyber security firm who are headquartered in the UAE, announced that Pegasus, a DarkMatter company, has signed a Momorandum of Understanding with Dubai Police to provide a comprehensive Big Data platform in which a custom analytic solution can be developed in order to help solve and prevent crime, making citizens safer. 

DarkMatter had previously worked with the Dubai Police force in this area under the Dubai Future Accelerators initiative. The MoU signals a formal understanding in the development and management of big data capabilities in a bid to assist the Dubai Police to investigate and fight crime. 

In the current world, digital environments as the most interconnected that they ever have been. This means that a vast amount of data is being generated and exchanged among individuals, devices, systems and other entities is growing exponentially. 

Pegasus Big Data Platform is capable of processing billions of data points per day to power a variety of analytic solutions that generate critical insights in near real-time. In relation to the MoU with Dubai Police, Pegasus will assist Police authorities to maintain safety and security by applying both technology tools and professional services to create a holistic ecosystem for producing high-value and high-impact information to drive decision-making.
