Matrix and Expro to develop new incident investigation process

Senior members of the Matrix team have worked closely with Expro personnel to integrate intelligent investigation with the company’s existing root cause analysis (RCA) tool, aiming to streamline and improve the organisation’s overall incident reporting, recording and investigation process.

Matrix has been working with Expro for a period of six months to develop and embed the Expro’s new intelligent investigation process.

Commenting on the partnership, Ian Robb, service quality director at Expro said, “Our objective was to further enhance the initial investigation and evidence gathering part of our existing process. Matrix worked with us to develop a bespoke and interactive training module that complemented our existing tool.”

Craig Smith, training manager of Matrix, noted, “A robust approach to incident investigation management is of vital importance, as it allows organisations to learn valuable lessons from near misses and seemingly minor incidents, thus preventing major incidents and improving overall health and safety performance.”

Its incident investigation toolkit courses are IOSH-approved and have attracted attention from an international audience. The principles and methodologies from these courses were used as a foundation for Expro’s new Intelligent Investigation process.
