Traffic safety forum and exhibition to be held in February

hala alghanim f5ZB0LHwi0s unsplashThe fifth edition of the International Traffic Safety Forum and Exhibition will begin on 10 February at the Sheraton Dammam Hotel & Convention Centre, Saudi Arabia

The event is part of a vigorous effort by the Saudi Society for Traffic Safety (SALAMAH) to take part in initiatives to improve all aspects of traffic safety and transport ecosystems and to join forces with all relevant parties to improve road safety and reduce the number of fatalities and injuries caused by road accidents.

This initiative is being launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, Imam Abdul Rahman bin Faisal University, Saudi Aramco, the Eastern Province Traffic Safety Council, the National Road Safety Centre and the Ministry of Education.

Over three days, government authorities and relevant industry stakeholders will engage in high-level discussions and networking opportunities to address some of the most pressing road safety challenges in the kingdom and to integrate the latest innovations and advanced technologies into their concepts and projects.

The event will feature an international exhibition for local and global companies to showcase their latest innovative transport sector ecosystem products and solutions.

While the focus of the forum is to provide participants with an opportunity to gain exclusive insight into the transport initiatives and projects of Saudi Arabia’s National Transformation Plan 2020, as well as to learn about smart transport techniques and systems and their applications to improve traffic safety.

The forum will also identify opportunities in transferring and localising the best innovative smart transport systems and technologies that will improve transportation and traffic safety in Saudi Arabia.
